politics

Anti-smoking commercials make me want to go out and buy all the cigarettes at 7 11. I'm so tired of the victim mentality propagated by our media. I'm not entitled to anything.

I'm an idealist

Always have been, always will be. I was going to continue on here with why idealism fuels anything or anyone successful. But i won't. I love music. I think i'm learning how to play it.

A time to be cold

I think it's here. I walked outside this morning and it was actually cold. Like, can't-wait-for-my-car-to-warm-up so-the-heater-will-work-cold. And I love it. I always have loved it. Office work is stealing my soul.

late breaking news:
loosers are called losers for a reason. They really do lose.

I will leave you IN!

Tonight was fun. Old friends on old stomping grounds. And i didn't care. That's how it's done, i think. Getting up there and not caring. It's coming, i can feel it. A new paradigm. No hype, no $500 jeans (although you know i would if I could) no scantily clad women hanging about. Just singing. Just music. It's fun. 17 year old fun. With a side of Denny's afterwards.

holy

Say what you want, i think that John Mayer is one of the greats of this generation. And continuum only further solidifies this belief i have. The solo on gravity. "Stop this train" made me want to cry. Rare. Also, I feel like he talks so much about relevant spiritual things and it seems like no one gets it. I took the long way home from target to get the whole thing in.

25

The number of requests i get per day on myspace from bands tending to be... ehh... terrible, the bakers dozen version of "24", the t.v. show, and my new age. Celebrated a bit with the fam tonight and was reminded of how much I love them. This age is significant because there is now absolutely no possibility of myself, or anyone for that matter, saying that i'm in my early twenty's. This is way mid. As mid as you can get. And life is so so so good. In 5 years i'll look back at this time and think "oh man, i didn't know anything back then". A couple things that you need to buy

-Arrested Development season 3
-Continuum (tuesday)
-Peach cobbler

Also, there has been an addition made to my list of celebrities whom i believe would smell bad in person. Not sure where exactly he falls in the list, but I think Jack Black needs to hit the showers. Stevie Nicks is still #1 though, and always will be.

doobie do wop

Life is so good. Every once in a while in the midst of running around with everyone else, i am reminded of this. Really, we all have it pretty darn good. And this past weekend provided no break from the good life. I know now about happiness. I was at a show recently of someone who a while ago I put directly under God. And at the show I realized that it wasn't that big of a deal. That he was thinking that if he only got to the next level things would be smooth sailing. Which made me realize, once again, that america has put my happiness in the future with a mastercard logo attached. So i'm happy here. As happy as i can be, i guess. Because we all have it pretty good.
